HOW TO APPLY FOR THE FIFA FOOTBALL AGENT EXAM
If you wish to become a licensed football agent, passing the FIFA Football Agent Exam is essential to delivering football agent services. Here’s how to apply:
1. Register on the FIFA Agent Platform
- Visit agents.fifa.com
- Create an account with a valid email address
- Upload required documents: ID and a passport-style photo
2. CHOOSE THE FOOTBALL AGENT EXAM PATHWAY
- After creating your account, you will receive a confirmation email giving you access to the FIFA Agent Platform
- You can now access the FIFA Agent Platform and begin the application process
- Go to the section ‘Football Agent Exam Application.
- You will have two options on choosing your licensing path for the FIFA Football Agent licence. Football Agent (Exam) and Football Agent Licence (National Law)
- Select Football Agent Licence (Exam) option – to be licensed by FIFA
3. Complete the Application
- Fill in personal details accurately
- Submit necessary documents; some associations may require additional paperwork
- The exam will be administered by FIFA, but they will require you to perform some checks on your eligibility from your selected member association.
- Please note that the time limit for applications can vary from a few days to a few weeks. Please don’t panic. Yes, it can be frustrating, but reaching this stage is the most important when submitting your application.
- Our advice is to commence and/or continue with your studies.
4. Pay the Exam Fee
- Once your application has been approved, you will be required to pay your exam fees.
- Fees are payable to FIFA. In the June 2025 Exam, the fees were around £80 / €95 / $100 (depending on currency exchange)
- The exam fee has to be paid in full via credit card.
- The exam fees are non-refundable
5. Await Confirmation and Prepare
- Upon acceptance and payment of the exam fees, you’ll receive access to official study materials and their mock exam questions
- FIFA emphasises using only their Football Agent Study guide for preparation to ensure you’re studying the right documents.
- You will then be invited to book your exam slot. Please have your diary ready.
- Although the exam is 1 hour long, we recommend you set aside 3 hours to ensure you meet the invigilation requirements and account for any technical issues.
6. Exam Details
- Format: 20 multiple-choice questions
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Passing score: 75% (15 correct answers)
- Open book: FIFA electronic regulations documents are allowed only.
- You can now sit the exam at home or at a remote venue of your choice. You will need to ensure the room is silent, no one else is in the room with you, and that FIFA strict invigilation exam rules are met.
- The results of the exam will be announced 14 days after the exam.
- After passing, you will be required to pay the Licence fee of $600 within 90 days
Key Dates for the 2026 Exam
The FIFA Football Agent exam for 2026 will be announced in January 2026. We expect the dates to be as follows (subject to change):
- Application Window Opens: 4 March 2026
- Application Deadline: 17 April 2026
- Exam Date: 19 June 2026
- Results Announced: 3 July 2026
